As we all have them, there are days when I am so busy the only effort I want to make in putting together a meal is the act of opening a container.

In my continuation of sharing with you my ideas of how Julienne food can come together for a fabulous meal, I share with you my latest “lite lunch”:

Crudite Scramble

Anyone who walks into our gourmet market quickly notices our Julienne branded items. From Parmesan toasts to bags of mini-cookies to our packaged salads and sandwiches, we try to create a product line where you can quickly grab what you want and have a wonderful snack or meal on the go.

We are coming out of LA’s rainiest of season’s in a while and leaping into Spring. With the time change and the sunny weather, we are clearing out some of the winter wares and making room for pastels in many varieties.

It’s a new month and we are excited to introduce you to our new Wine of the Month.

Fantini Sangiovese from Abruzzi, Italy

Fantini has a gorgeous garnet color. It is intense, fruity and has a persistent bouquet. Medium bodied, well balanced, and ready to drink. This is the perfect companion to Italian dishes!

We just had the Fall Equinox, but with 100 degree weather, it feels like anything but!

To keep cool this week, and because everyone deserves a treat, we wanted to share with you a new retail item to the gourmet market: Choctal. Hailing from Pasadena, Choctal is an artisan company making single origin chocolate and vanilla ice creams.

If you have been in the restaurant and gourmet market lately, you have probably seen we made the switch from Summer to Halloween and Fall. While it may not feel very autumnal yet, we are getting in the spirit! We are sure before we know it we will be huddling under blankets, sitting by the fire, awaiting the trick-or-treaters!
